About the CCLP and NISOD Staff
Ruth Thompson
Executive Assistant to John Roueche
Ruth began her career at
U.T. as an Office Assistant for Housing and Food Services in the
Kinsolving Dorm in 1973. After working at a few other places on
campus, she found her niche in the College of Education in the
fall of 1980. She served as assistant to the NISOD director for
12 years before assuming her current position as Executive Assistant
in CCLP. Ruth received the University of Texas at Austin Staff
Excellence Award in 1985.

Reid Watson
Administrative Associate
Reid began as an undergraduate
workstudy for NISOD in 1980, and later became assistant to the
NISOD director and assistant editor of NISOD publications. In addition
to work with NISOD, he coordinates the annual TACCTA conference
with John Roueche. He received the University of Texas at Austin
Staff Excellence Award in 1994.

Beverly Hurbace
Administrative Assistant
Beverly worked in the McCombs School of Business at UT prior to coming to the CCLP. She assists in all areas of operation with the CCLP and Educational Administration.

Evelyn N. Waiwaiole
Director, NISOD
Evelyn comes to NISOD from the Community College Bridges to Opportunity Initiative where she has served as project manager since June 2006. She earlier served as project manager for the MetLife Foundation Initiative on Student Success; as college relations coordinator for the Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE); and as policy analyst for the Center for Community College Policy, Education Commission of the States (ECS). Evelyn is a proud member of CCLP Block 55.

Coral Noonan
Associate Director and Conference Coordinator for NISOD
Coral is charged with providing strategic direction in expanding efforts to recruit and retain exhibitors, partners, and sponsors of NISOD. Coral is a graduate of the CCLP and a member of Block 55.

Sheryl Powell
Senior Administrative Associate
Sheryl has been with CCLP/NISOD since 1988, and served as assistant to the NISOD director for many years. Sheryl received the National Council on Marketing and Public Relations Gold Paragon Award in 2003. She also received the University of Texas at Austin Staff Excellence Award in 2001.

Administrative Associate
Christy has been with NISOD since 2003. Christy is involved with all aspects of NISOD operations.

Leigh Anne Fagin
Administrative Assistant
Leigh Anne joined the NISOD team in July 2007. Her primary responsibilities are assisting with membership and the NISOD conference.
